I've played Guitar Freaks.

This game needs a good sum of work to it, but I like where its going, when its perfect its going to own.

Superb

What a great idea for a game, I have to give you credit for making the AI avoid/chase you if you didnt have the right color. It could use some kind of scoring system though.

Buggy and Incomplete

Visually it looks pretty nice, but it takes more than graphics to make a good game. Gameplay is extremely redundant, enemies spawn in the same places, no allies (not counting that dude in the Warthog), the gun on the Warthog doesnt even hit the enemies so its pointless. Not to mention the lack of Halo feeling. No guns to switch from. No shields. This game seems very incomplete and flawed. Not saying its hopeless, but in its current state its not too impressive.

Nice.

Combining 2 very good game titles was very clever (i havent played the others yet). Very smooth running, good music, and addictive gameplay, very addictive gameplay. This is definately one of the top 15 games on Newgrounds. Beautiful work.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!

Needs to run faster

And the sounds are very crappy, other than that good job.

Holy Shit.....

This is a fuckin sweet ass game indeed. Controls kick ass, many options, good sound, good graphics. It does start off a little slow however but thats ok.

More like a bump down.

To be honest judging by its score I didnt even think this game would work, but the beginning looked pretty impressive, heres a couple quick tips for ya.

1. the error zone on the bottom is way to big, it makes the song incredibly easy to play. perhaps add a line in the middle of it to symbolize the exact timing.

2. make sure your songs are PERFECTLY synched with the notes. Otherwise people will be making mistakes that were not his/her own fault.

3. get better techno....

4. a bar uptop will help check how good the player is doing, this game should not be designed that if he gets one out of the area he fails automatically.

5. difficulty modes should also be added, at least 2 per song, itll help less experienced players get better, or challenge better players.

6. add a scoring system, number based.

7. get better techno.

I'm only mentioning these things because this game shows alot of promise.

Haykuro responds:

ill be sure to include most of that in the next version.

This version will slowly be added more techno as i find it..

Impressive

A nicely programmed game ya got here, and its small file size makes it easy to begin playing quickly.

Could use a touch of sound though :(

Nice

Very nice. This games got a sick look to it. Controls pretty well too. My only gripe is with the music loops, even though u can turn them off.

Informative

One part I dont get, in most of your drawings you say dont make the same mistakes as you do, (ex: the hand) if thats true then why didnt you just make the drawings better. Text wise this was very helpful but it could of been better visually. Looking forward to more tutorials from you.

TURTLE-MAN responds:

im probably gonna start with some animations and stop tutorialing, but thanks for the thought. as for the crappy drawings, well, im just too lazy to make them better.

Life is full of shut the hell ups.
